Almost one year ago, exactly – New Years in Capetown, South Africa.

I’ve started going through 2007 to make what was supposed to be a sort of video-xmas card, and I have to say, I’m blown away – I never, ever would have believed this could all happen in ONE calendar year.

I travelled to:

- Capetown for new years

- Miami for the superbowl

- St. Barth’s for a billionaire’s birthday party

- LA to see an actor I was dating

- DC for the White House Correspondent’s Dinner

- St. Lucia for a resort vacation/press [read more...]

Age 6.  Yes, I ice-skated.  I was terrible at it!  Are you surprised?

Dognap is a movie I was in during college – it won the Georgetown Film Festival my senior year (2004).  Lilly/Marshmallow starred in it, and won for Best Dog in a Comedy/Drama, Ever. What qualifies one to be a tv pundit?

It has been alleged that I am not qualified to talk about business or politics on television – that I should stick to “Britney & Lindsay.” (girl topics, of course!) I have a nagging feeling it’s because I am a young woman [read more...]

What I’m Trying to Prove.

That women can:

Be smart and still be silly.

Be sexy and still be smart.

Be a girls’ girls and still love to flirt.

Love to flirt and not be derided as a cocktease.

Love to dress sexy and not be seen as a slut.

Love to have sexy (har) and not be seen as a whore.

Be ambitious and not a “self-promoter.”

Be assertive and not a bitch.

Be old and not be seen as irrelevant. (Uh, that’s a long term goal.  haha)

I’m tired of these traits being regarded as mutually exclusive. (Yes, all of this has been [read more...]

There’s a million reasons not to do any sort of business or any kind of dream that you have. There’s always going to be people who say no. There are always going to be people who don’t like your idea. [But] like Cathie says, just push it forward, push it forward, and don’t let anyone say no.

I think this quote illustrates why women don’t start their own businesses in youth with anywhere NEAR the same frequency as men. It takes single-minded, unwavering optimism and, to a certain [read more...]
