TV

An on-camera media expert, Allison has made over a thousand appearances on every major network, including NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, CNN, MSNBC, FoxNews, E!, VH1, and MTV. Since 2009, she’s been an on-air correspondent for NBC’s New York NonStop, covering twelve seasons of designers, celebrities, and behind-the-scenes at New York Fashion Week. From 2007 – 2008, Allison was Editor-at-Large for STAR magazine, hired to be the tv “face” for their brand.

Along the way, Allison has provided commentary for dozens of shows, including The Today Show, CBS’ Early Show, Chelsea Lately, CNN’s Reliable Sources, The Wendy Williams Show, The Ricki Lake Show, Access Hollywood, Showbiz Tonight, Fox & Friends, CNN Newsroom with Brooke Baldwin, ABC’s Windy City Live, Glenn Beck, The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, Hannity & Colmes, G4’s Attack of the Show, MTV’s It’s On with Alexa Chung and the weekly Relationship 101 segment on Fox’s Morning Show with Mike & Juliet.

Allison conceptualized, executive produced and co-hosted over 100 episodes of the short-form chat show, TMI Weekly, dubbed “The View of the Facebook generation,” (she may or may not have dubbed it that herself) from Next New Networks during 2008-2009. The show aired daily on NBC’s NY NonStop cable channel as well as iTunes & Hulu – making over a quarter million dollars in ad revenue, setting records for web video at the time. The only problem? No one really watched it. Oh well.

FoxNews’ LiveDesk Today

Was on FoxNews’ Live Desk today at 1:30 pm, discussing Hulk Hogan’s son’s reckless driving.  FOUR SPEEDING TICKETS IN HIS FIRST YEAR, not including his recent accident, which left a friend of his in critical condition.  Um, hello, Mom & Dad?  Maybe it’s time to take away the license now.  Just a thought.

Foxnews’ Redeye Last Night

That’s my "Ode to the Ghetto Handbook" dance right there.  I feel that such a manual would surely be a runaway bestseller.  I mean, if On Bullshit could sell like 8 billion copies ….

What you should do instead of having sex with your ex.

This is where I said – um, and I’m paraphrasing here – "Maybe more men SHOULD have a negative body image.  Jesus, have you seen the average man’s body?  Get [read more...]

Today – FoxNews & CNN

Started out today at the crack of not-even dawn (I was up at 5, and it wasn’t yet light out) with a 6:50 am segment on Fox & Friends (screenshot above) talking about Owen Wilson’s attempted suicide and Hulk Hogan’s drag-racing son.  Also taped the lead piece for CNN’s Showbiz Tonight, which you can catch on CNN Headline News at 11 pm.

Now on to write my Time Out column for our special "Not in Vogue" fashion issue and gear up for New York Fashion week, which I’ll be covering for Star from [read more...]

Today – FoxNews, CNN & NBC

Will be on FoxNews at 11:15 am, 12:40 pm, 1:15 pm and 5:15 pm, on CNN Headline News at 7 pm, 10 pm, and 12 am and on NBC at 7:30 pm on Access Hollywood discussing Owen Wilson’s attempted suicide, as reported exclusively by Star magazine yesterday.  According to Star’s sources, Wilson slit his wrists and ingested a bottle of pills before being discovered on Sunday by his brother Andrew and rushed to St. John’s hospital in an ambulance.  We don’t know the reasons, but it could (possibly) have to do with [read more...]

FoxNews’ Lips & Ears

On FoxNews reporter Courtney Friel‘s show, Lips & Ears.  Watch this week’s episode here (it’s four parts, divided by commercials)

with my lovely and eloquent predecessor, FoxNews entertainment reporter Jill Dobson

(FYI, in case you’re really observant, I’m wearing the same dress as I did on The Morning Show last Wed.  That’s because we taped Lips & Ears about an hour after that.  So I didn’t change …  I don’t know why I feel the need to justify my sartorial repetition, [read more...]

MSNBC Today

Will be on MSNBC at 11:20 am, 12:37 pm and 1:04 pm talking about the big celeb news day today – with Nicole checking herself into jail for 82 minutes yesterday and Lindsay pleading guilty to two counts of being under the influence of a controlled substance, no contest to reckless driving and no contest to two counts of a DUI.  I’m going to call my free lawyer (Dad) to discuss the difference b/t "guilty" and "no contest."  They seem like the same thing to me …

The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet

Today on the always-lively Morning Show with Mike & Juliet, we covered the XX chromes’ favorite topic – How to Make Your Man Commit!  My surefire strategies?  Don’t sleep with him immediately!  Don’t boss him about like he’s your coffee fetching intern (who you just so happen to make out with)!  Lull him into a false sense of freedom and autonomy!

Another foolproof plan?  Don’t actually WANT him to commit!  That’s how I got engaged to my ex-fiance – I didn’t really want to get married.  At all.  Works every time!

Brilliant, no?  That’s right, [read more...]

Tonight, 11 pm, CNN’s Showbiz Tonight

Was on at beginning of the show, pontificating on Britney’s tendency towards frequent nudity.

The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet

Catch me today on Fox’s Morning Show with Mike & Juliet, discussing Bedroom Blunders.  Like, Oops!  I left my socks on / phone on / pet in the room / called you the wrong name (triple oops) / punched you in the stomach / passed gas / named your body part / fell asleep during sex.  I won’t say how many of these bedroom blunders I’ve committed personally – only that falling asleep during sex may SOUND impossible, but let me assure you, it is not.
